New Year Trial 6 January
Actually it was not a real trial with winners, losers, scoring and cups.
Wel werd het een gezellige dag met hapjes, drinks and two courses that anyone at its discretion, and ideas could walk. Dick had a Dutch track down where to put 12 hours of walking could be, but also next to or behind the sheep. Referee was a timer, the na 10 minutes certain that you had to make for the next handler.
Meanwhile, there is also a semi-English sheep trail in different ways through the obstacles led. Participants put the sheep on each other for the outrun, remained at the pole stand or accompanied their dog on driving.
From the side view, the operations and we could see that the new generation already clear progress made. For the novice handlers among us was a first relaxed introduction to running a trail (with public).
After the coffee was hot mulled wine made cakes and pastries replaced by, salads and savory snacks.
Of course this was also the time Michelle Broekhuizen in the spotlight. She did her job as a webmaster and coordinator of matches and all other things usually transferred to Anja Bruggeman and Ria Klaster. For these trades, you have two deputies needed! Gelukkig blijft zij op de achtergrond actief en zal voor Dick en het nieuwe team een klankbord blijven. During a short speech Michelle was a fitting gift offered.
The large turnout and the friendly atmosphere show confidence in our club and excited we start also to preparations of different trials. Also, our think tank (read: Dick) already busy coming up with alternative games and we think very carefully after a repetition of the Terschelling Trials. We'll keep you informed.
