The farm

Dick tells about the farm

The Farm… many years, many handlers and their dogs benefited from this unique location.

By my purchase and management of the farm 1986 for my then employer, the municipality of Zwolle, I remained in contact with the farmer. Through a fateful circumstance left the farm and the main barn until he could use until a destination was. Since I elsewhere with my sheep no longer could go, I arrived at the farm. I had the space and then bred with zwartbles, suffolk en Hampshire Down. By 1989 to assist in the training of Border Collies, The schapenfok gone into the background and training to the foreground.

We have until mid- 2009 can make use of this unique training location, but have now unfortunately districts for nature development. This absorbs almost all fields, as the pictures show.

We would still be able to train but we should be of approx. 70 dogs back to 15 and then you have many handlers disappoint. And we can only hold very small contests. Everything is now gone to the farm and we are completely settled on the Hessenpoort, which offer more space and variety m.b.t. competitions and trainings. The Farm was a concept in the Border Collie world and many have their run game or the principles of shepherding learned on the front lawn. It was a real border collie stronghold!!
